SECY
Société d'Exploitation des Carrières d'Yvoir (SECY), is located on the edge of the Meuse, 25 km south of Namur.
SECY is a hard sandstone quarry whose reserves make it possible to supply future generations of road and rail entrepreneurs with very high-quality aggregates.
Its production capacity amounts annually to 600,000 tons of washed crushed stone , all qualities combined.
Today, its customers are mainly Belgian. 30% of its volume is delivered by water from its dock in Fidevoye (Yvoir), the balance by road.
For road surface layers, its stone meets the technical requirements CE2+/Benor type Ba2 I f1. The average PSV of 58 shows exceptional resistance to the polishing of the stones of the road wearing courses. SECY has a laboratory to monitor the evolution of the physical characteristics of its products (particle size analysis, Micro Deval (MDe), Los Angeles (LA) ,... )
