Bioterra Floreffe
Bioterra Floreffe is a centre for the aggregation of excavated land and products/waste from the mineral industry. This regrouping centre covers an area of 1 hectare and is ideally located between the Charleroi - Namur railway line, the Sambre and in the immediate vicinity of the E42 motorway. This centre is located less than 10 km from the centre of the City of Namur.
Bioterra Floreffe can annually accommodate a capacity of 30,000 tons of both inert and non-hazardous products and waste.
This collection centre was created following the recent adoption of the Walloon Soil Decree as well as the "excavated land" decree. It is an essential tool for the harmonious implementation of these new regulatory provisions.
Finally, the Floreffe centre is an integral part of a network of cluster centres managed by Bioterra and spread over the three regions of Belgium. These numerous centres are all waste collection points for the purpose of being able to transport it by water to Bioterra's main treatment centre in Genk on the Albert Canal.
