Description of the works
For almost 2 decades DC Industrial has been participating in the restoration and maintenance works of the Belgian coast.
Indeed, the Belgian coastline forms a major tourist attraction both for inland and foreign visitors.
They enjoy the holiday season on the beach, which offers plenty of opportunities for gastronomy, leisure, and sport.
Climate change is enhancing the need for regular maintenance and restoration works on the beaches. Furthermore, beach extension is regarded as a sustainable technique for coastal defence.
Annually we carry out 1 to 3 projects on the Belgian coast, depending on necessity.
Our added value
We combine standard sea aggregate production with these projects, which can be carried out in combination. We always have 2 to 4 vessels in the neighbourhood, which minimizes mobilization costs, while enabling flexible interventions at all times (e.g. after storms).
